RG8
The RG8 is a thick 50-ohm coaxial cable with a 12 AWG center conductor, offering lower signal loss and stronger signal performance than RG58. It is commonly used for amateur (HAM) radio and other high-power RF applications. A variant, RG8X, features a thinner 16 AWG conductor for greater flexibility while maintaining similar signal quality, making it a popular choice for mobile and portable setups.
